Using Bamboo Curtains to set a décor theme

Buying Bamboo Curtains

There are many places to purchase bamboo either finished or unfinished. Buying ready finished bamboo products like bamboo bead curtains or bamboo curtain rods is easier than buying "raw" bamboo. "Raw" bamboo is bamboo that requires manipulation to be turned into a décor piece. This raw bamboo should only be purchased from a reputable bamboo dealer. Shipping might be costly depending on the length of the bamboo. Bamboo is affected by temperature and may be damaged during shipping. Unless you are an expert, you are better off purchasing ready made bamboo products.

Bamboo stalks can find many uses in your exotically decorated home. You can use the entire bamboo rod as is or you can splice it to make unique bamboo curtain rods. The curtain rods use standard curtain rod brackets. Bamboo can be used to make headboards for your bed, towel racks, wainscoting, and bed canopies. When working with bamboo there are somethings you should remember; never drive a nail through bamboo as this causes it to split, varnishing the bamboo will help preserve it and don't ever try and bend or manipulate dry bamboo.
